A Defence & Missile client, a trusted partner of the UK Ministry of Defence, are currently seeking an experienced Test Architect to join their team in Stevenage. The selected Candidate will be responsible for defining and managing the requirements for Test Equipment and Test Specifications. This crucial role requires someone with a robust skill set and attention to detail.

As an MRP Controller, the successful candidate would additionally report to a senior Manufacturing Planning & Control team member.

What we're looking for:

  • Prior experience in manufacturing planning, supply chain management, or a related position is required.
  • Supply chain certification is not a mandatory requirement for this role, but it is preferred.
  • Proficiency in the use of SAP and MRP systems is required, as well as Microsoft Office skills.
  • Good Planning and organising skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with a keen attention to detail, are crucial attributes to possess.
  • Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

What you'll get to do as a MRP Controller:

The job responsibilities include:

  • Managing and coordinating planning activities for manufacturing.
  • Ensuring timely delivery of materials.
  • Maintaining the MRP system.

The candidate will maintain inventory levels, resolve queries, and ensure accuracy in the MRP system. They will also work closely with the supply planner to communicate plan changes and resolve supply chain constraints. In addition, the candidate will identify risks related to supplied parts and maintain the manufacturing bill of materials. The role requires achieving optimal schedule adherence, inventory management, and delivery performance while executing the planning process effectively.
