£31,280 to £35,205 per annum

Here at Barnsley College, we offer two Motor Vehicle apprenticeship pathways – Level 2 Auto Care Technician and Level 3 Service and Maintenance Technician (Light Vehicle). We are now looking for a hands-on, proactive Motor Vehicle Trainer to join our growing department and support a caseload of apprentices to achieve their qualifications and progress to their next chosen step.

This is a varied, hands-on role that goes beyond the classroom. You will deliver practical workshop-based learning to apprentices undertaking the Level 3 Installation and Maintenance Electrician standard, as well as completing assessments within the workplace. You will coordinate and track the development of students’ knowledge, skills and behaviours throughout their apprenticeship programme. Our new Trainer will have the opportunity to contribute to the continuous review and development of the curriculum, suggesting new ideas and innovative methods to improve teaching and learning. Learning should be engaging and fun, with students receiving support throughout the duration of their apprenticeship to achieve great results. You will ensure assessments and feedback are submitted on the Aptem e-portfolio system, with ongoing support provided to prepare learners for their End Point Assessment (EPA).
