Our client is a leading educational institution located in the vibrant city of Peterborough. Committed to excellence in education and professional development, we are currently seeking a dedicated Motor Vehicle Trainer to join our team.

Role Overview:

As a Motor Vehicle Trainer, you will have the exciting opportunity to impart knowledge and skills to students enrolled in our Motor Vehicle studies program. This role involves teaching apprentices at levels 1-4, with a focus on providing comprehensive training in all aspects of motor vehicle maintenance and repair. While prior teaching experience is advantageous, we welcome applications from specialists with expertise in motor vehicles, regardless of their teaching background.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality instruction to apprentices in Motor Vehicle studies, covering a range of topics related to vehicle maintenance, diagnostics, and repair.
  • Create engaging lesson plans and practical demonstrations to facilitate student learning and skill development.
  • Provide constructive feedback and support to students to help them achieve their learning objectives and career goals.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to continuously improve the curriculum and teaching methods to meet industry standards and student needs.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and technological advancements in the motor vehicle sector to ensure the relevance and currency of course content.

Requirements:

  • Expertise in motor vehicle maintenance and repair, with a focus on LGV & HGV experience preferred. UK Motor Vehicle qualifications are essential.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students from diverse backgrounds.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of students and the curriculum.
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development and improvement in teaching practice.
  • Teaching qualifications are desirable, but not essential. Candidates without prior teaching qualifications will undergo training, which may impact the salary offered.

Benefits:

  • Candidates with no teaching background can earn up to �34,000 (Due to investment)
  • Candidates with a teaching background (Level 5) can earn up to �42,000.
  • Teachers' pension contribution of 23.68%, with employees contributing approximately 7%.
