Brook Street Recruitment is working with our Belfast client who is currently recruiting for a new permanent Insurance Claims Handler
Responsibilities
- Negotiate Insurance Claims - mostly Motor and some liability - investigating, negotiating and settling claims in a cost effective and efficient manner.
- Validating policy cover and managing customer's expectations.
- Meet the agreed standards of service, volumes and performance levels in line with KPIs.
- Provide input and advice to clients on claims progress, manage expectations and support their needs.
- Escalate problems with claims to Account Executives and/or Senior Management in accordance with agreed referral triggers.
- Identify policy issues around policy cover and application and escalate issues as required
- Set up first advice and managing subsequent interactions with clients and insurers
- Referring to senior handlers and team leader as required.
Criteria
- Must have experience of Motor and some Liability experience
- Strong communication skills - written and verbal
- Preferred to have CII qualification
- Competent in Microsoft Office.
Salary will be �30-35k depending on experience
