£22,000-£28,000 DOE

MPJ Recruitment are proud to be working with a leading insurance business based in the Tamworth area, we are looking for experienced motor claims handlers with 12+ months experience working in a similar role preferably doing cradle to grave (beginning to end).

We are also on the look out for senior individuals to join the team with the top end of the salary bracket being considered for this level of role. Our client offer excellent progression opportunities with plenty of the senior team coming from this level.

Motor Claims Handler Key Responsibilities:

• Review and record claims on our in-house system within product standards, check policy coverage and allocate appropriate codes and reserves.


• Make liability enquiries, in accordance with Adjuster’s Manual, using most appropriate method (phone, correspondence, field visit).


• Evaluate quantum by gathering relevant evidence, adjusting reserves in accordance with the company's realistic reserving philosophy.


• Clearly explain decisions on liability, negotiating settlement within authority level where appropriate.


• Respond to all written and phone enquiries clearly, courteously and promptly.


• Review claims regularly using diary system to ensure accurate reserves and timely closure.
