My client is a reputable Main Dealer located in Coventry. You will You'll be working with a desirable franchise. Currently, the company is expanding rapidly and is seeking a MOT Tester to join their workshop. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a well-respected garage where you will be treated with respect. The company has an outstanding reputation with both customers and employees alike.
To be eligible for this MOT Tester role you must have the following:
A class 4 and 7 MOT testing licence with DVSA and have an up-to-date annual training record and passed the assessment
Basic understanding of servicing and mechanical repairs
Previous experience carrying out MOT tests
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow guidelines and procedures
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Ability to work independently as well as in team
A team player attitude and willingness to support colleagues
A full UK driving license.
As an MOT tester, your daily responsibilities will include:
Conducting MOT tests on various vehicles to ensure they meet safety and environmental standards
Identifying and reporting any faults or defects found during the test to the customer or relevant supervisor
Carrying out necessary repairs or maintenance work to ensure the vehicle passes the MOT test
Maintaining accurate records of all work carried out
Communicating effectively with customers, providing advice and guidance on MOT requirements and vehicle maintenance
Staying up-to-date with the latest MOT testing regulations and guidelines
Working independently as well as part of a team to ensure efficient and effective service delivery
Maintaining a safe and clean working environment in accordance with health and safety regulations.
