Are you a MOT Tester / Qualified Mechanic looking for your next role in the motor trade?
My client is recruiting for an experienced MOT Tester for their garage based in the Truro area.
Working as part of the service team you will be exposed to a broad and interesting range of customers and vehicles. You will be competent in the service and repair of all makes and models of cars, vans and light commercial vehicles, using the latest diagnostic equipment in a very clean and modern workshop. To keep up with the latest technology on-going training will be given. Suitable candidates should have an NVQ Level 2 or 3 or equivalent in vehicle maintenance and repair and a stable job history. Candidates must be reliable with a hardworking positive can-do attitude, be willing to use their own initiative as well as working with the rest of the team.The role is paying up to £40,000 per annum, depending on the level of experience.Key ResponsibilitiesLiaise with customers regarding MOT work carried out.Complete work to dealer standards, adhere to manufacturer procedures and processes.Support technicians in repairing vehicle engines, gearboxes, and car parts.Work closely with service desk to provide information regarding MOT repair work needed.Maintain a clean and tidy work environment.Championing and adhering to Health and Safety policies.Key SkillsThe ability to communicate with customers effectively.Carrying out MOT Failure rectification work as and when required.A sound Mechanical knowledge.Fault finding.Problem solving.Flexible ‘can do’ attitude.A Full UK Driving Licence.BenefitsCompetitive starting salaryCompany pension schemeThis is a fantastic opportunity for the right person to join a small family business.
