MOT Tester

MOT Tester | Edinburgh | Monday – Friday 40 Hours per week plus a rotational 4 hour Saturday morning shift at time and a half overtime rate | Up to £31,200 per year, plus bonus and overtime. OTE of up to £34,400

Established in 1987, West End Garage is an independent and privately owned business working with Škoda & SEAT since the business was conceived. Today, we are one of the UK’s leading dealerships for Škoda and SEAT with sites located in Stirling, Halbeath-Dunfermline and Sighthill-Edinburgh.

We are looking for an experienced stand-alone MOT Tester, who is enthusiastic, punctual and can work within a team.

You will be responsible for carrying out routine MOT Tests to customers and Sales Department vehicles and carry out light remedial work that is authorised for the car to pass.

You will need to have good teamwork skills and a great work ethic. You will also contribute to a great customer experience by completing video health checks.

Are you the right person for the job?

• 2 years’ experience in Light Motor Vehicle Maintenance & Repair Occupations is required


• A full UK driving licence


• Fully qualified and approved by the DVSA

What will your role look like?

• Undertaking Class IV MOT tests adhering to strict DVSA/Government guidelines


• To report additional faults requiring attention


• To complete a full write-up of work completed and electronic Health checks


• To ensure all documentation is completed promptly
