We are currently looking for a Mortgage Consultant to join our Direct Mortgage department, based at our Cobalt Office near Newcastle.
When you join as a Mortgage Consultant you will have the opportunity to later develop into the next roles on our career pathway which include a Multi Skilled Mortgage Consultant and a Senior Mortgage Consultant and receive the training and support you need along the way.
About the role:
As a Mortgage Consultant you will be the voice of Leeds Building Society, providing specialist advice and guidance on our products, whilst meeting all FCA/PRA regulatory requirements. You will provide expert advice to support existing customers looking to switch to a new mortgage product and/or manage their existing mortgage.
The role is a telephone-based position in which you will be required to build rapport, trust, and relationships with your customers to enable you to provide an advised recommendation based on the customers' needs and circumstances. You'll also need to document information in a clear and accurate manner.
What will you bring to the role?
We're looking for someone who can demonstrate:
Full CeMAP (or equivalent) - essential
Previous experience of giving Mortgage Advice to customers looking to switch to a new mortgage product and/or manage their existing mortgage - essential
Excellent organisational skills and the ability to effectively manage multiple sources of information
A proven track record in achieving objectives and performance measures
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
