Molecular Biologist - Research Scientist
One of our global clients is looking for a Molecular Biologist Scientist to join their R&D Team on a contract basis.
The role is initially for one year contract.
Responsibilities:
Follows broad frameworks to operate equipment needed to carry out trial work, and to ensure samples are available and delivered on time.
Resolves routine issues with minimal senior staff or supervisory guidance and approval.
Requirements:
Must have a degree/PhD in a relevant science discipline. Appropriate technical science background is critical.
Must have worked with crop pest arthropods. Ideally, experience with Lepidoptera larvae.
Must have experience in insect micro-injections.
Excellent organisational skills.
Experience with injector systems (such as Nanoject) would be desirable.
Experience running bioassays would be desirable.
Experience with automated symptomology analysis and/or ADME assays would be desirable.
Experience in Analytical Science (eg, Mass Spectrometry) and data analysis would be desirable.
Talent to work effectively with staff at all organisational levels and a creative mind for problem-solving.
