Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance is a forward thinking, contemporary and world-class Higher Education Institution with a vision to redefine the conservatoire for the 21st century.The Musical Theatre Department seeks to appoint a suitably qualified candidate to an hourly paid, part-time permanent academic management and teaching position with effect from 1 September 2024. HTP Hours dependant on allocation.The Developing a Portfolio Level 7The Developing a Professional Portfolio module advances understanding of a broad range of skills and experiences relating to working as a musical director, performer, community practitioner. Cultivating a culture of enquiry that explores a range of areas relating to the development of a portfolio career. Developing understanding of employment markets and the opportunities available to you, whilst extending skills that will enhance employment such as coaching, leading sessions and workshop facilitation. This module also aims to facilitate a creative space that encourages exploration of theatre making and arts-based practice through the development of new work.The module content includes a structured series of lectures and practical sessions focusing on the development, application and consolidation of your professional portfolio, to include:Industry awarenessDeveloping new workDeveloping businesses in arts-based careers.Brand & MarketingCommunication and social mediaTeaching & leading workshopsThe successful candidate – the Module Leader – will represent an important addition to Faculty expertise in Musical Theatre, and will join us at a time of demonstrable growth to, and increasing recognition of, the learning opportunities provided by the Department of Musical Theatre.Please refer to our website or job pack for detailed information.Details
