Module Leader and Teacher Creative Research Level 5 & 7Job offerTrinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance is a forward thinking, contemporary and world-class Higher Education Institution with a vision to redefine the conservatoire for the 21st century.The Musical Theatre Department seeks to appoint a suitably qualified candidate to an hourly paid, part-time permanent academic management and teaching position with effect from 1 September 2024.HTP Hours designation based on agreed schedule negotiation.The Creative Research Project Level 7The Creative Research Project provides Students with the opportunity to extend and apply their research skills, both practice-based and text-based. This module focuses on the creation and development of an independent research project, in which students will develop their research skills in order to apply emerging skills and their own exploration of an aspect of practice that interests them, communicating their findings in a manner and medium appropriate to the subject of enquiry at level 7.Creative Research Level 5Creative Research enables students to develop their critical thinking, research, and academic writing/communication skills relevant to the Musical Theatre performer and university graduate.Through a series of lectures, you will support students in developing their ability to: review and retrieve primary and secondary. research material from a range of sources; identify and differentiate between different research strategies, and will explore ways to use research findings to strengthen and develop a critical argument.In class, a mixture of written and verbal assignments, short and longer tasks, and analysis of research material will enable students to explore a range of methods for articulating thought and organising material, whilst preparing for the Creative Research Project module at Level 6.The successful candidate – the Module Leader – will represent an important addition to Faculty expertise in Musical Theatre, and will join us at a time of demonstrable growth to, and increasing recognition of, the learning opportunities provided by the Department of Musical Theatre.Please refer to the job pack or our website for more details.Details
