Mobile Plant Operator

Connect Appointments have a new opportunity for a Mobile Plant Operator to join a leading integrated waste management business.

Our client provides collection, treatment, recycling and technologically-driven energy generation services to clients across the area.

This is an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated and enthusiastic individual to join an already very successful team, as a Mobile Plant Operator.

What's on offer?

• Full-time opportunity
• Monday to Friday, 6:30am to 4:30pm
• £13 per hour - paid weekly

Overtime? Possibly available during the week and on Saturdays - flexibility is desirable.

Working as a Mobile Plant Operator your duties will include, but not limited to:

• Following all site health and safety rules, especially around the safe and efficient operation of mobile plant equipment
• Separating materials, Loading plant hoppers and trailers
• Carrying out daily checks in accordance with company procedures and site working plan
• Co-operating with site management
• Maintaining Standard Operating Procedures as required
• Working to timescales and deadlines

Working as a Mobile Plant operator you will be qualified and experienced on one of more of the following:

• Telescopic handler
• Loading shovel
• 360 excavator/material handler (tracked and, or wheeled)

A recognised license or qualification to operate plant such as LANTRA, NPORS, CITB, CPCS, EPIC, NVQ - for those without up-to-date tickets but possess the skills and experience an internal training program is available, with an external NPORS qualification.

Other key skills, traits and experience that would prove beneficial include a demonstrable period of plant operating experience:

• A good level of English
• The ability to work as part of a team
• Be punctual and reliable
• Flexibility and willingness to be involved in all aspects of the operation
