Job Opportunity: Mobile Engineer - Residential and Commercial Heating
Location: Southwest / Southeast London (and UK areas if required)
IR35 Status: Inside
Expected Start Date: Immediate
Anticipated Duration: Ongoing - 12 months minimum
Expenses: Yes - travel, parking
Included: Company vehicle, fuel card, mobile phone
Willingness to Travel: Essential
Hours: 7.4 hours (36 mins lunch) = 8-hour day / 37 hours per week, Mon-Fri with opportunity for overtime and occasional call-outs if moved to permanent role
Shift Patterns: 08:30am - 05:30pm - overtime and call out rates included
Overview:
Join our team as a Mobile Engineer, responsible for planned and reactive installation and maintenance activities in residential and commercial heating systems. You'll work on District Heating Networks (DHN) and communal heating schemes primarily in Southwest London, with occasional travel to other UK areas.
Role Responsibilities:
Installation and maintenance of Heat Interface Units (HIU), servicing, breakdowns, and upgrades
General plumbing and heating work, including HVAC tasks
Compliance with health and safety regulations and performance measures
Supporting other teams to ensure quality services for customers
Qualifications and Skills:
NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent in plumbing, heating, mechanical (basic electrical advantageous)
Valid driving license required
Experience with domestic gas boilers and relevant gas safety registration preferred
HIU and DHN experience advantageous
Strong IT skills and ability to work with PC-based systems
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to form effective relationships and prioritize tasks effectively
