Job Description



We are currently seeking experienced Refuse Vehicle Engineers to join our growing team. As a Refuse Vehicle Engineer, you will play a critical role in servicing our clients' vehicles, ensuring their safe and efficient operation. You will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing various types of refuse vehicles, including troubleshooting mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.



Responsibilities



Your duties encompass routine vehicle inspections, maintenance, and repair, diagnosing mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues to execute suitable fixes. You'll perform preventative maintenance to sustain vehicle performance, manage repairs and component replacements, and engage with our team to navigate complex technical problems. Maintaining accurate records of your work and adherence to safety protocols and industry standards is expected.



Requirements



Candidates should have proven experience as Refuse Vehicle Engineers or similar roles, with a robust technical background in vehicle mechanics, hydraulics, and electrical systems. A knack for diagnosing and troubleshooting, coupled with relevant engineering qualifications, is essential. We value problem-solving skills, precision, the ability to work both independently and in teams, strong communication abilities, and a valid driver's license. Holding an HGV licence class 1 or 2 and experience in pump maintenance & repair are beneficial.

Schedule:



The role entails a Monday to Friday schedule, with the availability for overtime and weekend work as necessary. Work locations include remote work across the UK and onsite activities at our Oxfordshire Depot.
