Are you an experienced Electrician looking for a flexible work schedule that prioritises work-life balance?



At Boden we understand that your time is precious, and we want to give you more of it to enjoy. As a Mobile Engineer, you'll have the chance to work a unique�4-day week�for three weeks out of every month. You'll only be required to work one Friday in every four-week cycle, giving you more time to enjoy your weekends.



In this role, you'll average a 45-hour work week and benefit from door-to-door travel, ensuring that your time is efficiently utilised. You will work with a multi-disciplined team of mobile engineers delivering project works across the South West and South East.

Main duties of the role:




  • Design and execute both small and large-scale electrical projects. Bring your vision to life on time and within budget, every time.

  • Evaluate the complexities of new and existing projects, delivering accurate quotations and timelines. Your expertise sets the bar for all projects to come.

  • Conduct meticulous electrical inspections and generate detailed reports that serve as the gold standard for British compliance.

  • Collaborate seamlessly with a diverse, multi-disciplinary team using your cooperative spirit to ensure smooth sailing for every project.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and suppliers.

  • Provide insightful technical guidance and supervision to junior staff, apprentices, and other trades.

  • Be the vigilant eye, ensuring that every project you touch meets the highest safety regulations and quality standards.

  • Champion compliance with all relevant electrical codes and regulations. Your respect for the rules keeps everyone safe and projects up to standard.

  • Maintain an impeccable record of all your work. From routine maintenance to complex repairs, your documentation is as spotless as your work.

  • Conduct comprehensive electrical tests and inspections that assure quality and reliability, and electrical safety.

  • Conduct general electrical repairs and servicing tasks with a level of skill and attention that turns routine into remarkable.



Required Skills and qualifications:



Essential:




  • A recognised apprenticeship with relevant experience as a fully qualified electrician and/or an appropriate City and Guilds/NVQ in an Electrical discipline

  • Holds City and Guilds IEE 18th Edition Regulations

  • Holds City and Guilds 2391, 2394 or 2395 Testing and Inspection

  • Up to date knowledge of latest legislation

  • Experience of electrical testing

  • Installation experience



Desirable:




  • Previous knowledge and experience of MOD contracts.

  • Holds CompEx Hazardous and Explosive Area certification (or CompEx Fuel) or is prepared to gain these qualifications

  • Experience of performing multi skilled tasks

  • IPAF

  • PASMA

  • EV Charging
