Y Felin Ddwr charitable Trust operates a 12th century water powered Mill set in the heart of the Gower Peninsula , South Wales.

The Trust has been awarded funding under the UK Levelling up Fund to employ a part time assistant to work as a Miller and Baker for an 8 month period starting immediately.

Miller and Baker - Assistant - About you:

The applicant will need to have basic food hygiene knowledge and be able to work directly with the Centre Customers and Visitors. Training will be given in all aspects of the role which will include milling grain to flour and producing a specific bread mix based on a traditional Gower recipe to recreate the original Gower Loaf previously eaten in past Centuries in Gower and to remarketed by the Centre as Bara Gwyr. You will need to be able to bake basic bread products for serving up to visitors and groups in our tearoom facility where we specialize in making a vintage cream tea for visiting coach parties.

The role is fully funded by the Levelling Up Grant and hours will be part time equivalent to 3 days per week for an 8 month period at a fixed gross amount of �1125 per month.

Working at weekends will be a requirement.
