Microbiology Laboratory Technician - ElyMicrobiology Laboratory Technician 19th April, 2024 ALS Laboratories are looking for a Laboratory Technician to support their Microbiology department at ALS Ely. The successful candidate will be a proactive member of the team, able to work with initiative and being highly efficient, testing a wide range of samples from manufacturing samples through to medicines undergoing testing for release to market.You will work closely with both other team members and senior staff to ensure that samples received are processed in a timely manner to meet operational and client requirements and necessary regulatory standards.
There is a clear progression pathway for the individual who has both the desire and ability to develop themselves. Hours Per Week: 40Days Per Week: Monday – Friday (Hours between 07:00 and 19:30) + Weekends on rotational basisContract: Full Time and PermanentAnnual Salary: £24,378
Key ResponsibilitiesPreparing samples for analysis including weighing and performing serial dilutions.Analysing samples for a wide range of routine microbiological indicator organisms and pathogens.Reading plates and calculating results.Data and result entry into the LIMS system.To perform analysis allocated in accordance with documented methodology
