Job Description:We have a brand new, exciting opportunity for a Rotorcraft Technologies, Methods & Digital Integration Specialist, to work within Aircraft Systems Integration (ASI) at our Helicopter division, based in Yeovil.As a Rotorcraft Technologies, Methods & Digital Integration Specialist you will apply Agile techniques in order to coordinate dedicated scrum teams acting as Scrum Master or product owner. Placed within our engineering function this role requires you to have the ability to adapt quickly to understand new problems in design disciplines across Aircraft Systems Integration (ASI).You will work in cross functional and geographical, multi-disciplinary team environments to support the development of physics based modelling approaches used in engineering design & analysis and the development of data driven AI surrogate models starting both from numerical analysis and/or experimental data.For internal applicants only, please note that this is a Job Family Framework level 5 (Engineering)What you’ll do as a Rotorcraft Technologies, Methods & Digital Integration Specialist:Provide technical subject expertise for technical activities across engineering projects, including design, analysis, assessment, testing, modelling, simulation and qualification of aircraft and softwareTo apply specialist expertise to develop the skills, methods, tools, processes and practices required to improve the tasks in your area of responsibilityTo develop the capability of the rotorcrafts and systems, in line with company strategic aims, through research and development of technologies, methods and engineering skillsTo understand the requirements of engineering activities and to carry out the activities required to demonstrate airworthiness of the company’s products, including continued airworthinessTo perform engineering tests that comply with required processes and procedures, to produce valid engineering data to support the design and qualification processTo produce and maintain a range of engineering documentation within agreed formats in compliance with engineering and departmental instructions and provide technical data to meet design or engineering solution requirementsWhat we need from you:Degree in Master of Science in a relevant engineering field. Courses in Data analytics and Data Science.Basic knowledge of physics based modelling approaches utilised in engineering design & analysis (CAE, CFD / FEA / etc).Working understanding of AI, or a keen interest in the subject (in particular the application of Neural Networks to engineering problems)Proficiency in computer programming (Specifically Python. Some knowledge of SQL, MATLAB, Fortran etc. would be advantageous)Strong problem solving skillsGood communication skills & ability to work in cross-functional multi-disciplinary team environmentsA proactive attitude to learning and investigating, along with strong mathematics & coding skillsAbility to follow well defined engineering processesIt would be great if you have any of the following:An understanding of aircraft design and helicopter mechanicsAn understanding of process development and opitimsation Security Clearance
