METAL SHOP TEAMLEADER / EXETER - PERMANENT VACANCY

Location: Skypark, Exeter - near Exeter Airport

Job type: Permanent

Reporting to: Metal Shop Supervisor

Hours: Monday to Friday 0600am -1400pm 

Salary: Up to £30,000 per annum DOE (12% shift allowance included )

Hawk 3 Talent Solutions, operating as an employment agency, are currently recruiting for a Metal Shop Team Leader to join our clients manufacturing site in Exeter on a permanent contract.

The successful candidate will co-ordinate and oversee the manufacture of sheet metal components and maintain quality control over the items produced.

The current team typically consists of up to 12 personnel and requires a self-driven, dynamic and flexible person who has strong leadership capabilities and can instil a positive culture in their team while providing support, training and development to others.

Duties & responsibilities:

Oversee day to day manufacturing operation.

Monitor and progress work within the department in line with scheduled requirements.

Report any maintenance issues within the department to the Metal Shop Supervisor

Responsible for ensuring all Health & Safety and other company processes and procedures are adhered to and implemented as necessary, raising any failures or non-conformances to line manager as appropriate

About you:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Flexible to carry out a wide ranging role

Computer literate with good knowledge of Microsoft Office

Management experience in a sheet metal manufacturing role would be desirable

Ability to read and understand technical drawings and use a range of measuring equipment

Able to make operational decisions

Excellent problems solving skills
