Position Overview:
As the Merchandising Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing merchandising strategies to maximize sales and profitability. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to curate product assortments, plan promotions, and drive the overall merchandising vision for the company.
Responsibilities:
Develop and execute merchandising strategies in alignment with company objectives and target customer demographics.
Collaborate with the buying team to select and procure merchandise that meets customer needs and preferences.
Analyze sales data and market trends to identify opportunities for product assortment expansion and optimization.
Plan and execute promotional activities, including sales events, discounts, and special offers, to drive traffic and increase sales.
Monitor inventory levels and product performance, making adjustments as needed to ensure optimal stock levels and sell-through rates.
Work closely with the marketing team to develop effective merchandising campaigns and visual displays that enhance the customer shopping experience.
Coordinate with the supply chain, develop monthly and annual product demand forecasts, follow up on replenishments, place orders, and implement targeted adjustments such as additional orders or reductions as necessary.
Follow up on shipping schedules, customs clearance, and warehouse arrival progress, and assist in optimizing the supply chain process.
Coordinate and manage with local warehouses.
Train and mentor merchandising team members, providing guidance on merchandising best practices and product knowledge.
Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to inform merchandising decisions.
Supervise and coordinate monthly, quarterly, and annual inventory checks at the stores.Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and standards for merchandising and inventory management.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Merchandising, or related field.
5+ years of experience in retail merchandising, with at least 2 years in a managerial or leadership role.
Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret sales data and market research.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
Fluent Chinese communication skills.
