Our client are seeking a dedicated and results-oriented Merchandiser to join their dynamic team. Are you a Merchandiser currently who wants a slightly different role that will utilise your skill set? This could be a great option for you in one of the UK retail's real success stories!
As a Merchandiser, you will play a pivotal role in driving sales and ensuring optimal stock support, it is all about planning and trading! Your keen eye for detail and strong analytical skills will be instrumental in identifying key sales volumes forecasts at the channel level in collaboration with various teams.
Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Senior Leadership Team to implement seasonal category strategies.
  • Create budgets and establish the category framework, tracking key performance indicators such as sales, stock, margin, and line buys across various channels.
  • Assist in developing product grading plans and range construction across all categories and channels, working closely with Buying teams.
  • Manage in-season trading through WSSI management to optimize category performance, continuously monitoring sales, intake, and stock levels.
  • Generate seasonal and ad hoc analysis to support strategic decision-making within Buying and Merchandising.
  • Coordinate with Retail, Marketing, and Online teams to align Buying and Merchandising strategies with sales channels.
  • Collaborate with Branch Merchandising teams to establish parameters by channel and address performance issues.
  • Develop Merchandising capabilities and enhance team performance by providing coaching and guidance.

Skills/Experience:

  • Previous experience in a similar merchandising role, within the retail industry.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and draw actionable insights.
  • Excellent planning and organisational abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Proficiency in using merchandising and inventory management systems.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present information clearly and confidently.
  • Strong collaborative skills, able to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.
  • Results-driven mindset with a focus on achieving targets and driving sales growth.
  • Knowledge of market trends and customer preferences within the retail industry.
