An exciting opportunity has become available for a Band 6 suitably experienced mental health practitioner to work within the Bolton Assessment Service at The Royal Bolton Hospital. The service operates from 9am - 9pm 7 days a week / 365 a year. The Bolton Assessment Services comprises of a dynamic and welcoming team of psychiatrists and mental health practitioners. They compete mental health assessments on persons referred from the GP or other primary care providers, The Bolton Assessment Service provides a reassuring and responsive service to both the referrer and the person referred ensuring appointments are arranged timely taking into consideration the identified clinical need. The Bolton Assessment Service is the only service of its kind in the Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation TrustMain duties of the jobMain Duties To undertake and record comprehensive mental health assessments and risk assessments, devise and implement treatment plans for service users. To act as the shift coordinator triaging referrals, contacting services users and arranging appointments on the basis of clinical need. To coordinate the Bolton 136 suite, having knowledge of the section 136 process. To be an active participant within the multi-disciplinary team, providing clinical input to cases supporting on wards management plans To be an active participant in the ongoing development of the Bolton Assessment service, completing relevant training, engaging in the appraisal process and being involved in service review and development.About usGreater Manchester Mental Health (GMMH) Foundation Trust employs over6,400members of staff, who deliver services from more than160locations.
