Are you a Registered Mental Health Nurse looking for a new challenge? Our client, a highly specialised Private Eating Disorder Hospital, is on the hunt for an experienced and qualified Mental Health Nurse to join their team during an exciting period of growth and development.

Our client is a leading Private Eating Disorder Hospital for adults in North Yorkshire. They offer highly specialised treatments for adults with Eating Disorders such as Anorexia Nervosa and Bulimia Nervosa, delivered in a patient-centred, individualised manner.


As a Senior Mental Health Nurse, your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the nursing provision and supporting the Clinical Manager
  • Supervising the nursing team to ensure diligent service to patients
  • Leading an MDT, supporting a caseload of patients
  • Ensuring the highest standard of evidence-based nursing care is delivered
  • Acting as a patient advocate, ensuring privacy, dignity and confidentiality
  • Reporting any issues identified by patients or their relatives
  • Ensuring a high standard of infection control and prevention of healthcare associated infections
  • Administering all drugs and medications as per local policies and procedures

The ideal candidate for the Senior Mental Health Nurse role will have:

  • Active NMC registration as a Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN)
  • Completed a mentorship course
  • Skills and knowledge up to date with current nursing practice
  • Ability to plan care and manage a personal caseload
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Understanding of private medicine and the relevant legislative frameworks
  • Knowledge of clinical governance and care standards
  • Minimum of one year's post-registration experience, preferably within a surgical setting
