Job Description
We are working with a small but dynamic Federation within the manufacturing sector to identify a new Membership Manager.
We seek a Membership Manager who will work collaboratively with the CEO and Marketing and Communications Manager to drive member engagement, recruitment, and retention. This role is pivotal in crafting and executing strategic initiatives that bolster their profile and expand our member base. The ideal candidate will embody a digital-first approach, ensuring that our data and operational systems are optimized to meet strategic goals.
What will you be responsible for?
Membership Recruitment and Retention:
Design and implement strategies that enhance member acquisition and retention, aligned with their strategic goals.
Proactively recruit new members and manage comprehensive engagement campaigns to highlight the value of membership.
Maintain accurate member database records and manage financial aspects including subscription income and renewals.
Innovate and refresh membership offerings to stay relevant in the market.
Membership Services:
Provide exemplary service to members, addressing inquiries and ensuring satisfaction and increased engagement.
Represent the organisation at industry events and oversee member communication across various platforms.
Collaborate with marketing to enhance membership growth and manage member-focused events like Members’ Day and Awards Dinners.
Support the Technical Officer in enforcing the Code of Conduct.
Data Management and Reporting:
Utilize CRM systems to monitor member activities and trends, producing detailed reports for the CEO and board.
Keep internal teams updated on membership statistics and ongoing activities.
Required Skills and Experience:
- A minimum of 3 years in membership management or a related commercial role.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement successful membership strategies.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging with all organizational levels.
- Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with CRM systems and data analysis.
- A proactive, entrepreneurial approach to problem-solving and innovation.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a dynamic environment.
