The successful candidate will work alongside Basingstoke and Winchester Rota Masters.The successful candidate will need to be enthusiastic and confident, with excellent organisation and problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure. Good communication and telephone skills are essential. Previous experience in a similar role would be highly desirable.Main duties of the jobThe Rota co-ordinator is responsible for the supporting of both Rota Masters in construction of the Medicine Junior Doctor on-call rota within HHFT including covering rota gaps, doctor leave management and to provide the first point of contact for the junior doctors.The post holder must ensure the provision of high-quality patient care by efficiently deploying junior medical staff in the Medical Division.This will involve close liaison with junior doctors, consultants, medical staffing, human resources recruitment and management teams.It will be necessary to have a daily overview of the activities of all junior medical staff within the Division, anticipate problems and autonomously resolve situations expediently.The post holder will additionally support the division in reducing the temporary spend where possible, through implementation of effective temporary cover and adherence to control mechanisms with budgetary support from the Operational Service ManagerWorking for our organisationOur vision is to provide outstanding care for every patient.
