Medical Lab Assistant

Trident Healthcare Solutions are looking for a Medical Laboratory Assistant to join a remarkable and dynamic team in Berkshire. This role is part of a team which provides an efficient and effective service in a highly reputable hospital.

What will you be doing as a Medical Lab Assistant?:

• Prepare and process clinical specimens for biomedical testing.


• Perform all designated duties in accordance with local working practices whilst maintaining high personal standards and conforming to Health and Safety regulations.


• Provide general advice and assistance to users of the pathology service.


• Prepare samples for routine investigations, working on own initiative to agreed protocols.


• Utilise the laboratory LIMS, Q-Pulse quality monitoring system and other application software.


• Report all incidents and adverse events to senior staff and enter the information in the CAPA module of Q-pulse in a timely manner as directed by senior staff.

What experience as a Medical Lab Assistant will you hold?:

• Experience in a UK lab as a Medical Lab Assistant.


• Working knowledge of the receipt and preparation of samples for biomedical testing.
