Media Technician

Location: Croydon, South London

Salary: £25,580 FTE + Excellent Benefits

Job Type: Full-Time, Monday - Friday (37.5 hours)

The Client:

Our client is reputable educational firm, providing an outstanding co-educational experience for children aged 3 to 18 years.

The Role:

As a Media Technician, you will collaborate with young individuals to nurture a passion for media production and help both staff and students.

Responsibilities:

  • Support extra-curricular Media projects, guiding students in producing and editing media texts.
  • Teach practical skills in Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere Pro, and Adobe Photoshop.
  • Manage and secure Media studio resources.
  • Oversee electronic equipment booking system and supervise students' use of facilities.
  • Conduct workshops, support sessions, and clubs.
  • Adhere to Safeguarding Policy, display staff identification, and attend training.
  • Coordinate with teaching staff for timetables and equipment needs.
  • Implement systems for loss prevention and equipment damage avoidance.

Requirements:

  • Previously worked as a Media Technician or in a similar role.
  • Qualifications at A Level or an equivalent vocational level in the field of Media Studies.
  • Possess qualifications in the media industry.
  • Background in working in a studio environment.
  • Skilled in using Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe Photoshop to effectively edit moving image and photography.
  • Media Studies or similar related degree. (Desirable)
