Position Overview:�They are looking for a passionate Media Studies Teacher to inspire and engage students in the fascinating world of media and communications. The successful candidate will have a thorough understanding of media theory and practice, with the ability to deliver stimulating lessons that encourage exploration, analysis, and creativity. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping the next generation of media professionals and critical thinkers.



Key Responsibilities:




  • Plan and deliver engaging and thought-provoking lessons in Media Studies, covering a range of topics including media institutions, media representation, and media production.

  • Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment where students feel empowered to express themselves and explore their creativity.

  • Equip students with the knowledge, skills, and critical thinking abilities necessary to analyze and evaluate media texts and messages.

  • Support students in developing their practical media production skills, including digital media, film, and photography.

  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and enhance the Media Studies curriculum, incorporating the latest developments and industry trends.



Requirements:




  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.

  • Degree in Media Studies, Film Studies, Communications, or a related field.

  • Experience teaching Media Studies at the secondary level, with a passion for the subject and a commitment to inspiring students.

  • Strong subject knowledge and familiarity with a range of media texts, theories, and production techniques.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students of all abilities.

  • Dedication to promoting creativity, critical thinking, and digital literacy in the classroom and beyond.
