Media Teacher
Remedy are seeking a talented and passionate Media Teacher to join a esteemed school in Grays. As a Media Teacher, you will have the opportunity to inspire and educate students in the exciting field of media arts. Responsibilities for Media Teacher:
- Develop and deliver engaging and comprehensive media arts curriculum, including theoretical and practical aspects, to students at various academic levels.
- Teach a range of media-related subjects, such as film studies, photography, video production, journalism, graphic design, animation, and media literacy.
- Utilize a variety of teaching methods and resources to accommodate diverse learning styles and promote active student participation.
- Foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment that encourages creativity, collaboration, and critical thinking skills.
- Guide students in developing technical proficiency in media production tools and software, such as Adobe Creative Suite, Final Cut Pro, Photoshop, or other industry-standard applications.
- Provide constructive feedback and evaluation to students on their work, projects, and assignments to facilitate their growth and improvement.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in media arts, digital technologies, and industry practices to enhance teaching methodologies and curriculum relevance.
- Organize and oversee media-related extracurricular activities, such as film clubs, media workshops, or student-led productions.
- Collaborate with colleagues to integrate media education across different subjects and contribute to interdisciplinary projects.
Qualifications for Media Teacher:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in media studies, Film Production, Journalism, Communications, or a related field.
- Prior experience in teaching media arts or relevant professional experience in the media industry.
- Demonstrated knowledge of media theory, digital media production techniques, and industry standards.
- Proficiency in using media production tools, software, and equipment.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively convey complex concepts to students of varying ages and backgrounds.
- Passion for media arts and a commitment to inspiring students to explore their creative potential.
- Ability to cultivate a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student engagement and participation.
- Organisational skills to plan and manage various media-related projects and initiatives.
