Mechanical Technician

Location: East of England, Hertfordshire, Stevenage

Job Type: Contract, expected to work Full-Time hours

Salary: £35.00 - £45.00 Per hour

• Perform maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of mechanical equipment
• Conduct regular inspections to identify issues and ensure equipment safety
• Follow maintenance schedules and respond to emergency repair requests
• Collaborate with engineers and other team members to improve equipment efficiency

• Proven experience as a Mechanical Technician or similar role
• Relevant technical qualifications in mechanical engineering or a related field
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent
• Hands-on experience with mechanical systems and equipment
• Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Additional certifications in mechanical engineering
• Experience working in the energy, oil, or gas industry
• Knowledge of computer-aided design (CAD) software

• Fast-paced environment with potential exposure to hazardous materials
• Frequent standing, bending, and lifting required
• Occasional weekend or evening work may be necessary
• Strict adherence to health and safety guidelines
