Astute's Power team is partnering with a leading biomass energy provider to recruit a Mechanical Support Engineer for its sites in East Anglia.

The Mechanical Support Engineer role comes with a starting salary of up to �60,000.

Responsibilities and duties
As the Mechanical Support Engineer you will be:

� Provide technical expertise across the fleet of assets, specifically focusing on rotating plant & boiler systems.

� Supporting the wide project team with engineering & technical queries.

� Act as Mechanical Project lead

� Assist with financial control of projects.

� Ensure compliance with legislation and support with statutory inspections for PSSR and LOLER

� Ensure compliance through all phases of a project including design to supply, installation, commissioning and handover to asset teams.

Professional qualifications

We are looking for someone with the following:

� Ideally degree qualified with a Mechanical Engineering qualification

� At least five years working experience with steam raising & rotating plant.

� Previous work experience in a similar industry such as Power Generation, COMAH, Refineries, Steelworks etc

� Experience with management of CAPEX projects

Personal skills

The Mechanical Support Engineer role would suit someone who is:

� Able to travel to sites across the UK

� Capable of clear engagement across project teams & stakeholders

� Familiar with budget / procurement processes
