Mechanical Project Engineer
Location – Bournemouth
Looking for a Mechanical Project Engineer who will be to joining a Tier 1 contractor and work on a large water framework
Responsibilities
- Assist the site management team to manage sections of the work/specific sub-contract mechanical packages.
- Take responsibility for checking and keeping records of delivered material, to ensure all materials used on site are in line with the specification. To include adequate checks on subcontractor materials.
- Carry out checks for quality in accordance with the inspection and test plan throughout the contract and duly record.
- Establish records; calibration documents and check registers for all instruments on site, including subcontractor’s instruments. Keep accurate records for excavations, reduce dig, concrete pours, reinforcement etc. and convey to commercial team
- Establish method statements and inspection and test plans.
- Take reasonable care for the safety of themselves and of any other person who may be affected by what they do or fail to do at work
- Read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules in order to check steel for quality purposes
- Attending to clients' needs both on and off site and servicing projects from start to finish
- On-site management including co-ordination and supervision of tradesmen •
Experience Required
- Previous experience in a Project Engineer / client facing position
- You will be expected to have experience working within the water sector, specifically on steel pipes, and large Civils projects,
- Mechanical / Industry experience essential
