Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

Blackwood, South Wales

Monday to Friday (3 Shift- 06:00-14:00, 14:00- 22:00 & 22:00- 06:00)

My client, a globally recognised packaging manufacturer, is looking for a mechanically biased engineer to join their frontline maintenance team.

To be successful in this role, you should have a minimum of 3 years experience, working in any maintenance based position within manufacturing environment. You should be a mechanically biased engineer comfortable with fault finding, repairing, replacing components, stripping down/rebuilding on a range of mechanical components. Ideally, you will be trained to level 3 in a mechanical discipline.

Working as part of the shift engineering team, your primary objective will be to ensure the efficient running of all production and process machinery on site, this includes: reactive maintenance- attending to breakdowns, fault finding and repairing on a range of production/process machinery, planned maintenance- starting up of machinery, servicing, replacing of components periodically, project work- upgrades, modifications and supporting installation of new machinery.
