Mechanical Maintenance Team Leader

Job DescriptionMy client is an established and highly reputable manufacturing business based in the heart of the West Midlands. Established over 100 years ago their products are sold into a variety of industry sectors on a global scale. They are now looking to recruit an experienced and Apprentice Trained Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor / Team Leader to lead a team of approximately 12 mechanically biased technicians with a process based manufacturing environment. Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor – RequirementsApprentice Trained or hold an equivalent practical NVQ Level 3 Qualification in a Mechanical Engineering / Fitting disciplineHave at least 3 years Supervisory experience within an industrial mechanical maintenance environment, with strong leadership and communication skillsPrevious experience of working within Process based manufacturing environments would be highly desirablePrevious experience of working in a lower or upper tier COMAH facility would be highly beneficialMechanical Maintenance Supervisor - ResponsibilitiesDay to day supervision of a team of approximately 12 Mechanical Maintenance Technicians, covering preventative and reactive maintenanceMentor and train Technicians as and when requiredOrganise and manage, alongside the Mechanical Maintenance Manager, all planned and reactive maintenance, ensuring the highest level of productivity and efficiency of equipmentStrong understanding of CMMS and standard computer software packagesUse and interpret equipment drawings, manuals and other technical information used to assist in worksIn depth understanding and experience of working with a wide variety of mechanical equipment including Gearboxes, Pumps, Mechanical Seals, Pipework etc.Work in accordance with the company safe systems of work and permit to work systemsEnsure Health & Safety is adhered to and all paperwork is completed to correct standards and in line with company policies
