Role Overview:



We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanical Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in estimating for M&E projects and be proficient in delivering accurate and competitive bids. This role offers the flexibility to work from home, with occasional travel to our Birmingham office and project sites in Hull.



Key Responsibilities:




  • Preparing detailed and accurate cost estimates for mechanical projects in the retail, industrial, and education sectors.

  • Reviewing project specifications, drawings, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive estimates.

  • Conducting site visits and assessments to gather necessary information.

  • Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotes.

  • Collaborating with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure accurate and complete estimates.

  • Monitoring and updating project costs and budgets.

  • Participating in bid reviews and presentations.



Requirements:




  • Proven experience as a Mechanical Estimator in the M&E sector.

  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and construction methods.

  • Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.

  • Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Willingness to travel occasionally to Birmingham and Hull as required.
