Mechanical Estimator

Mechanical Estimator, Permanent, Edinburgh.
Our Client is expanding due, to multiple project wins. They are looking to expand the commercial team based out of their offices in Edinburgh by hiring an experienced Mechanical Estimator.
The basic Role
o Receiving enquiries from clients.
o Completing an in-depth review of the enquiry.
o Attending site meetings/surveys (not common as predominantly new build projects tendered).
o Sending / receiving enquiries to / from suppliers & specialist sub-contractors
o Vetting quotations from both a commercial and technical perspective.
o Preparing take-offs from drawings.
o Identify and analyse opportunities to give a commercial advantage to tenders.
o Preparation of tender price using estimating software (SEC).
