About the role

As Mechanical Estimator, you will be responsible for accurately estimating the costs associated with mechanical systems in construction projects. Your primary goal will be to provide accurate and competitive estimates, ensuring that projects are profitable and completed within budgetary constraints.

You will collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to gather necessary information and ensure the accuracy of your estimates. This is a critical role that requires excellent analytical skills, knowledge of mechanical systems, and a strong understanding of construction processes.

Mechanical Estimator�Position Overview

• Preparing cost pricing & estimates for new contracts


• Amendments or variations to existing contracts


• Analyse fully subcontract / supplier tenders for compliance to the specification and drawings


• Present tenders to Directors for review prior to final submission


• Attend handover meetings to contracting team on successful tenders.

About you

• You will need Previous experience within a Mechanical Estimator role on M&E projects to be considered.


• Experienced in using estimating software.


• Ability to plan & prioritise workload to meet deadlines.


• Relevant qualification in either Construction Management/Structural Engineering/Quantity Surveying


• Strong negotiation and communication skills


• Knowledge of building codes, regulations, and industry best practices.
