Job Title: Mechanical Engineering TechnicianLocation: CambridgeOn site full timeDriving essentialSalary: £25,000We are excited to be working with a globally renowned name in the field of Biological Science.A new and exciting opportunity for a Trainee Mechanical Engineering Technician, ideally suited for an individual who is keen to begin a career in mechanical engineering or has recent experience in this role.Role Overview:Your duties as the Mechanical Engineering Technician role are to support the mechanical requirements across the site, including all scheduled maintenance, form plant, plumbing and ancillary services.Role Responsibilities:Ensure plant, equipment and rooms are working efficiently and in order.Work closely with the maintenance departments across the site.Undertake planned tasks to adhere to relevant regulations and legislation's for safe working environments.Company Overview:A world renowned and recognised pioneering institute, with more than half a century of research and development in Life Sciences. Their goal is to become one of the leading establishments for bio science innovation and research.Required Skills:Knowledge of mechanical systemsWillingness to train for a Level 2 or 3 engineering qualification (if not held already)Experience in plant/plumbing/air handling unit (HVAC)Desired Skills:Educated in GCSE Grades A-C or equivalent in English or Maths.Electrical knowledge, plumbing, air con, heating, industrial technicianEngineering qualification (NVQ 2,3 or equivalent)Engineering apprenticeship.Experience:Limited or recent work in a similar environmentMechanical/Engineering/maintenance, water treatmentsDesire to further education and training in NVQ Mechanical/Engineering TechnicianFull security checks will be requiredNo sponsorship availableInterviews are taking place on site from April 2024, if you feel you have the skills required, then please send your CV today.JBRP1_UKTJ
