Mechanical Engineering Technician

We are looking for a Mechanical Engineering Technician on a temporary basis in Medway. This role may become permanent for the right candidate!

You will work as part of a team meeting objectives and targets, supporting teaching staff in practical sessions, ensuring equipment is kept up to a standard.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Ensure safe, tidy and appropriate resources are available for the Engineering workshop/storeroom.
• You will be supporting students and teachers with practical sessions and assessments, demonstrating practical instructions.
• Prepare and maintain facilities including arranging servicing and maintenance of equipment
• Maintain stock levels, keeping track of anything which may need ordering
• Ensure safe storage of materials
• Follow Health and Safety and COSHH Regulations
• Follow safe workshop practice
• Complete mandatory training
• Travel between sites if required

Essential criteria:

• Level 2 qualification and experience in Engineering
• Proven experience in relevant field
• Ability to multitask
• Ability to unload/load materials and supplies

The successful candidate will require an enhanced DBS and satisfactory referencing.

This is a full-time position for 37 hours per week. Mon - Thurs 8:30-5 and Friday 08:30 - 4:30.

This role pays �11.44ph - �14.15ph (depending on experience)
