Mechanical Engineer

We are looking for a mechanical maintenance engineer to work as part of a team delivering professional engineering services to a busy foundry operations and manufacturing facility. Responsible for:

• To work as part of a team or alone dependant on the company needs.


• Complete daily scheduled TPMs to a high standard.


• Communicate with production and team leaders to priorities machine breakdowns.


• To effectively communicate shift handovers before and after the employees shift.


• To be involved where required for project work / plant improvement.


• To assist Works engineer with route cause analysis and corrective actions for re-occurring breakdowns.


• Competent with risk assessing jobs and working safely.


• Discuss production activity and problems with managers and supervisors


• Discuss work requirement and issues with direct manager.

Role Requirements

• Heavy industry experience


• Hydraulic, Pneumatic experience essential including reading schematic drawings


• Time served Apprenticeship / HNC qualifications with experience

The role is working Days only on a Panama Shift Pattern
