Mechanical Engineer | Permanent | UK Wide | up to £40,000 pa
Are you an engineer who enjoys the practical side of Mechanical Engineering? Experience working in the gas or manufacturing industry? One of PT Renewables long-standing clients, a leading player in the LNG/LPG industry is looking for a hands-on mechanical engineer to join their growing mechanical team. Ideally being based out of either Liverpool or Bristol, this role will be ideal for someone who enjoys the practical side of mechanical engineering, working on different projects, and building relationships with different businesses.
The Role
As a Mechanical Engineer, you'll initially get to grips with the projects, working alongside experienced engineers, learning and undertaking the technical installations and inspections of large LPG vessels, A/G & U/G, laying U/G distribution pipe work. You'll use various methods of jointing, installing & connecting all types of Pipework and Equipment, carry out the required testing, purging, and commissioning & issuing of certification.
As an overview, you can expect to be doing the following:
Carry out routine maintenance work at storage depots
Carry out maintenance and inspection work on industrial customer LPG plants
Carry out on-site installations of pipework, pumps, vaporizers, and auxiliary equipment at customer sites
The Person
LPG and LNG experience is not required for this role, however, ideally we are looking for people with experience in the installation of large commercial installations throughout the UK.
Requirements:
Previous commercial mechanical experience
LPG/ACS qualification (EP-EPC)
Ability to read and understand both GA and Isometric plant layout drawings
A working knowledge of pipework assembly including flanged and screwed joints (Desirable)
LPG experience able to demonstrate the ability to work hands-on (Desirable)
A knowledge of LPG in both liquid and vapor phase and safe working practices
