Mechanical Engineer - Simulation

FEA Engineer / Design Engineer / Design & Development Engineer / Mechanical Engineer required to join a leading manufacturer based in Wellingborough. The successful Mechanical Engineer will join the R&D department and be responsible for finite element simulation using Ansys software.

The successful FEA Engineer / Design Engineer / Design & Development Engineer / Mechanical Engineer will preferably have experience using Ansys simulation software or FEA (Finite Element Analysis), and would suit a post-graduate with some industrial experience.

There is hybrid working available with the option of working from home 2 days per week after a 3 month qualifying period.

Role
Support the design and development of products by using 3D CAD, ANSYS simulation software and other engineering tools and techniques
Conduct structural integrity calculations (based on formula and FEA) to ensure safety requirements and compliance
Conduct modal and harmonic analyses
Engineering hand calculations
Support the R&D team in the research, development and testing of products
Liaise with various engineering departments
Use of Mathcad
Monday - Thursday 08:30 - 17:15, Friday 08:30 - 13:00 (Flexitime available)

Requirements
This would suit a post graduate with some industrial experience - full training will be provided
Must be Degree qualified in mechanical engineering or related discipline with some post-graduate industrial experience using ANSYS simulation software or a familiarity with FEA / Modal, Harmonic, Structural or thermal analysis
Some exposure as a FEA Engineer, Design Engineer, Design & Development Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, Simulation Engineer, Graduate Engineer or similar would be beneficial
Proficient using 3D CAD and ANSYS
