Role Overview:
Join Artemis Chase as a Data Centre M&E Engineer in Birmingham, and bring your expertise to our top-tier Data Centre Facilities team. You'll work with critical infrastructure, ensuring everything from electrical panels to HVAC systems runs smoothly. Your daily tasks will include system checks, fault reporting, and supporting maintenance for crucial data center hardware.
Key Responsibilities:
Implement best practices for M&E maintenance to ensure high performance and reliability.
Generate and present data reports to the Facilities Manager.
Conduct risk assessments and identify potential threats to service delivery.
Drive continuous improvement in productivity and quality within the Facilities team.
Collaborate with Security to manage access control.
Coordinate with Change, Architecture, Professional Services, and DC Facilities teams for successful infrastructure changes.
Develop strong supplier relationships to stay updated on M&E technology.
Participate in the on-call Rota for out-of-hours support.
Skills & Experience:
Expertise in CRAC units, chilled water systems, and chillers.
Experience with UPS frames and generator systems.
Proficient in PPM and BMS systems, fault diagnosis, and IST delivery.
Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
Knowledge of crisis management and command control.
Excellent technical report writing skills.
Team player with strong customer service skills.
Flexible working hours and a full UK driving license.
Desirable:
SC Security Clearance
IOSH qualification
General Requirements:
Exceptional communication skills.
Experience working with third-party engineers and M&E contractors.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
Health & Safety:
Adhere to all Health & Safety policies and Permit to Work systems.
Maintain best working practices around Data Centre critical infrastructure.
