Mechanical Design Team Leader

Role – Mechanical Design Team Leader Type – Permanent Location – Beccles Salary – £45,000 - £55,000, dependent on experience My client designs and manufactures engineering equipment and machinery, with them looking to take on a Mechanical Design Team Leader, on a permanent basis, in the Beccles area. The Mechanical Design Team Leader will ideally have the following attributes:Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or similarIndustry experience working as a Mechanical Team Leader, Manager, Senior Mechanical Design EngineerPrevious experience of leading a team of 5 or more Engineers would be desirableHaving knowledge of 3D CAD – SolidWorks ideally, but other software may also be consideredGood organisational skills are required and good time management tooThe ability to use Microsoft Office programmesExcellent communication skills both verbal and writtenThe Mechanical Design Team Leader role will involve:Leading a team of Mechanical Design EngineersWorking on a range of company projectsProducing mechanical engineering solutions and checking designs from the other Mechanical Design Engineers – working with SolidWorksTaking projects from concept to completionWorking closely with other engineering colleaguesBeing flexible to travel to customers sites at commissioning stage occasionallyIf you are interested in this position, please apply with an up to date CV as soon as possible.
