Mechanical Design Manager

Caddy Group are looking to speak to Mechanical Design Managers to lead the design team in developing innovative and efficient mechanical systems for one of our clients. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the mechanical design process, from concept development to final production. Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a team of mechanical designers, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure project objectives are met.


• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, and project management, to develop design concepts that meet client requirements and project specifications.


• Drive innovation and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.


• Oversee the development of 3D models, detailed drawings, and technical documentation using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD).


• Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and best practices throughout the design process.


• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation to ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget.


• Conduct design reviews and provide technical expertise and guidance to resolve complex design issues.

Qualifications:

• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and other relevant design tools.


• Strong technical background with a deep understanding of mechanical engineering principles and practices.


• Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate team members to achieve their full potential.


• Proven track record of successfully managing complex design projects from concept to completion.


• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
