Mechanical Design Engineer– London – up to £50,000 + Bonus + Excellent Benefits – Permanent
Step into the role of Mechanical Design Engineer within a dynamic engineering team based in Southeast London. Your primary focus will be on the design of parts and assemblies for the manufacture of a critical product, from initial concept, prototyping, right through to production.

Your responsibilities:
Design and refine mechanical parts and assemblies for Power Feeding Equipment products.
Collaborate with design and industrial engineers to support production investigations.
Develop 3D models using PTC Creo and create 2D drawings.
Manage bill of materials and documentation on Windchill PDM system.
Liaise with suppliers, conduct physical modelling, and prototype new designs.
Generate requirement specifications and manufacturing drawings/documents as needed.
Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years' experience in relevant R&D, preferably with manufacturing exposure.
Experience of designing parts and assemblies for manufacture of actual product, from initial concept, prototyping, right through to production.
Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent qualification.
Proficiency in PTC Creo MCAD tools.
Knowledge of Windchill and SAP advantageous.
Understanding of mechanical engineering principles and basic grasp of electrical, electronic, and software disciplines.
