Mechanical Design Engineer

We are currently seeking a�Mechanical Design Engineer�to join a well-established, family-run SME based in�Bristol. As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will play a vital role in the design and development of innovative and efficient mechanical systems. Working closely with the engineering team, you will create detailed designs, conduct simulations and calculations, and oversee the manufacturing and assembly processes to ensure the successful implementation of projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and design mechanical components and systems, ensuring they meet the required specifications and standards


• Create 3D CAD models and 2D drawings using industry-standard software


• Conduct simulations and calculations to assess the performance and suitability of designs


• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, procurement, and quality control, to ensure smooth project execution


• Oversee and support the manufacturing and assembly processes for prototypes and final products


• Perform tests and evaluations to validate the performance and functionality of designs


• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, advancements, and best practices in mechanical design

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field


• Proven experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer or a similar role


• Proficiency in 3D CAD software, such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD


• Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, materials, and manufacturing processes


• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills


• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team


• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
