Job Title - Mechanical Design Engineer

Salary - 40-45K Basic pus overtime

Location - North East

Benefits - 25 days holiday plus bank holidays and excellent package

Nicholas Associates(Engineering & Technical) are recruiting for a Mechanical Engineer for an Oil and Gas equipment manufacturer in the North East.

As part of increasing long term contract requirements, they are looking to add to their mechanical design team with an enthusiastic engineer with a solid mechanical engineering background.

This is the ideal opportunity for an engineer looking for a new challenge or looking to join a financially secure global business. This role boasts both challenge and variety in a cradle to grave role.

Key Responsibilities

- Coordinating designed and developments

- 3D CAD design and drawing interpretations.

- Engineering Calculations

- Liaison with test, production and supply chain

- Bill of Materials, illustrations, design layouts and reports.

- Sourcing of materials

Required Skills

- Mechanical design principles and understanding

- Strong ability to learn and improve skill sets and knowledge

- CAD and engineering drawing skills

- Understanding of rotating equipment, pumps, compressors, valves etc is advantageous

- IT literacy

- Communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
