Due to a drive for greater success, this advanced manufacturing business is currently searching for a Mechanical Design Engineer to add to their talented, hardworking team in Barrow on an initial 12 month contract. Striving for innovation and creativity you can ensure no two days will be the same. This role will be offering £48.99 per hour travel per hour inside IR35 / Umbrella

The Role:

Design and Development of packaging 7 mounting arrangements for COTS
Design of electro-mechanical assemblies
Producing part & GA drawings.
Peer reviews
Designing for manufacture review.
Routing cables in 3D CAD.
Producing cable/harness assemblies and drawings.Skills:

Qualification in mechanical engineering.
A minimum of 2 years of experience as a mechanical design engineer.

§ Proficiency with 3D CAD packages such as Siemens NX or Solidworks

§ A basic understanding of electronics.

FEA, CFD simulation experience.
Experience with designing for EMC compliance
Experience with designing for military usage.Background
